World’s largest swimming pool in Chile

3 10 2007

With eight hectares in size and contains an incredible 250,000 cubic metres of water, this artificial lagoon and swimming pool is already drawing the crowds in the South American resort of San Alfonso del Mar in Chile. The revolutionary clear water artificial lagoons, transparent to a depth of 35 metres and unprecedented in design and construction methods, are the brainchild of Crystal Lagoons founder, biochemist and Chilean businessman Fernando Fischmann.

Wow! Can you imagine swimming a length of that pool? As someone who spends a lot of time swimming lengths in a normal (25m) pool, 1km takes 40 lengths and the view is dire.

That pool is a work of art. I wish I could afford to visit & have a swim.

Isn’t this kind of a waste… considering that like the ocean is right there?

The is to Mike ,I can see you never put a foot at the water of the Pacific Ocean
of the chileans cost,is not you will see a need of a pool that is warm and
you can swim with out be in danger.
