The Bern Onion Market
22 12 2009The “Zibelemärit” (onion market) is a traditional folk festival that takes place on the fourth Sunday in November, in the old city of Bern. Neighboring farmers gather to sell over 100 tons of plaited strings of onions, as well as other fruits, vegetables and nuts.
