[...] Amazing Sand Art Some people have way too much time and talent on their hands. The best I can do is fill a bucket and turn it over. [...]

Please identify the places where these were done. I recognise the skyscrapers of Melbourne, Australia, and I see a sign saying China, but otherwise it’s a complete mystery.
Wow..its amazing what you can do with sand if you had the time and patience. The detail is so incredible.

These sculptures were done at Harrison Hot Springs. I don’t know if it is still an annual event. Harrison Lake is in about two hours east of Vancouver Canada.
White Rock, also not far from Vancouver used to have an equally spectacular Sand Castle competition.

They use a weak cement mix with the sand so it will be able to stay up for a month and a bit it is still an annual event and costs 20 bucks but it comes complete with cute canadian girls

20 bucks?
How much for just the cute canadain girls w/o the sand?
The best sand art I saw was in Rio. The girls all had big butts and thongs. Santa Clause was surrounded by big bootie brazilians. They had coin drop things next to them, I wonder if they got their tips?

Wade, I don’t know the location. All I know is that it’s an international contest and this could explain the words in Chinese.
sand…….it gets everywhere……
What an incredible achivement. Shame you dont have it on webcam as it is being built, i bet that would be fascinating.
This is in Harrison hot springs (in BC, Canada).
You can see some of the signs saying “Harrisand”
Actually, I sit corrected. Some are from there, and others are from some other place (there arn’t any large skyscrapers in Harrison)
These are great. I’d love to have the sand and the patience to do something like this, but I live too far away from the coast
This is really cool stuff….nice work on Pirates of the Caribbean
It looks fun, but they just MIGHT have too much free time . . .
Absolutely amazing!! The fine detail is incredible, wish I could do that.
thats amazing … but i know i can do that too if i get time and a guide!
