Pets of the Homeless

29 07 2009

How can you choose between shelter and a best friend? It’s an impossible decision pet-lovers face when losing their homes. Only two pet-friendly homeless shelters exist in the United States (in Florida and California) and homeless people with pets often choose to stay on the streets rather than part with their four-legged friend.

Feeding Pets of the Homeless is a nonprofit volunteer organization that provides pet food and veterinarian care to the homeless and less fortunate in local communities across the United States and Canada. Won’t you help?

Sometimes. a beloved pet is the only reason a person has to stay alive. Dogs love unconditionally, and so should we all.

EVERYONE needs to help those pets, by bringing dog food and cat food for the homeless. Today I saw a cute little kitten with a homeless man, he had a little bag for the cat. I had a dollar coin, and I planned not to cash it. However, that kitten needs food, and I wanted to help. My mom was shocked and went over to him and said “Can I have the dollar coin back? I will give you $3 dollars in return.” He gave it back and she told “Your kitten is very cute, take care of him.” I have 2 cats of my own, Salem and Tinkerbell. They are my life, I’m 15 1/2 and I devote my life for them. Today my mom and I are starting to buy cat food and dog food for the homeless pets. We plan to keep it in the car. Please follow in our footsteps and do the same. And when you do, you will think I made a difference to that cat’s or dog’s life. I hope the homeless person would take good care of it, or else. Every animal is innocent, please in the name of GOD help the homeless animals. Also, I’m part of ASPCA. You could also donate to them. It’s a great organization that loves and cares for animals everywhere…………………
