The US Congress meets in Washington at the Capitol building. Construction of the building began in 1793, and it was first occupied in 1800.

Steel Wire Sculptures By Shi Jindian
27 06 2011After searching for years for “a material that was brand new, completely untraditional”, Shi Jindian settled on steel wires. By trial and error, he learned how to crochet the two-dimensional strands into three-dimensional forms using tools of his own devising.
