Amazing snowflakes
3 01 2009The snowflakes’ pictures are captured by Kenneth G. Libbrecht using a specially designed snowflake photomicroscope. Kenneth Libbrecht is a professor of physics at Caltech. His recent research has focused on the properties of ice crystals, particularly the structure of snowflakes.
He has published three popular books illustrating the variety of snowflake forms: The Art of the Snowflake: A Photographic Album

Preikestolen extreme tourism
18 12 2008Preikestolen, also known by the English translations of Preacher’s Pulpit or Pulpit Rock is a massive cliff of 604 meters hight above Lysefjorden, in Forsand, Norway. The top of the cliff is approximately 25 by 25 meters, square and almost flat, and is a famous tourist attraction in Norway.
