Hope, the two legged dog
8 07 2008Hope was born with only two legs and she has small wriggling nubs where her front legs should be. She used to move around by hopping, but experts said that eventually would damage her bones and spine. The wheeled device was created by David Turnbill free of charge. Each of the “arms” can move up or down independently of the other, allowing Hope to pivot and turn.
A cast was made in order to build the prosthetic device, but when she will grow bigger she will need to have another device made for her.

What a nice gesture to make that device free of charge. I wish there were more of these guys out there.
oh my god! poor dog
It is so nice to know that their are people that are willing to go the extra distance to help others that are less fortunate than ourselves.
God Bless Em’
this dog is so sweet!!! i hope it is ok now
Mr.David Turnbill you are an angel
there’s another bipedal dog named FAITH she actually is walking like a human perfectly fine
Oh my god. That just totally made me cry!..lol. That is so sweet. In a time when it seems people could care less about animals and you hear so much insensitivity in the way of “humans” being “superior” and just putting down any animal not “asthetically pleasing” even if completely healthy in every other way, it’s so great that someone cared enough to not only save this dog but actually build such a device FOR FREE!!! So many other people would have been all “your dog is truely a wonder. I can keep him/her alive. I ‘ll just need $20,000,000 first and I’ll SEE if I can help.” David Turnbill has good karma coming like crazy and I hope it never stops as well as those taking care of Hope! You’re amazing! **belly rubs for Hope**
oh my gosh, she looks soo sweet! and it’s brilliant that people actuly care and don’t just say “she only has 2 legs so we have to put her down!” they care and just like ale, i hope she is better now!
