it’s a dwarf hamster, not a baby. they stay that small.
however before anyone rushes out to get one, do your research. these are one of the nippiest hamsters you can get. they often get returned because the owner didn’t expect such a nippy hamster and want one they can hold instead. these can make great pets, just no for children. while regular handling will usually help, expect the occasional nip even with dwarfs raised with frequent handling.

chinese dwarf hamsters stay similarly small but don’t nip as much.

this hamster looks EXACTLY like mine… its uncanny how much they look alike. Shes a dwarf hamster too. I still cant believe how alike they look.
