The second and third staircase photos are from the Kauri Museum in Awapuni, New Zealand, and the stairs were carved from a single Kauri tree trunk lifted from a swamp. I’m fortunate enough to have been inside it, it’s pretty cool.

These are just amazing pieces of usable art !
Isn’t it great to know that gifted designers and craftsmen can still produce things with the WOW factor ?

Should be an option on all stairs in a perfect world. Just think of how much happier we would be if we were given opportunities to play during our day!
