The second and third staircase photos are from the Kauri Museum in Awapuni, New Zealand, and the stairs were carved from a single Kauri tree trunk lifted from a swamp. I’m fortunate enough to have been inside it, it’s pretty cool.
These are just amazing pieces of usable art !
Isn’t it great to know that gifted designers and craftsmen can still produce things with the WOW factor ?
It is very interesting and different. I thought i was great!!

Should be an option on all stairs in a perfect world. Just think of how much happier we would be if we were given opportunities to play during our day!

that spiral staircase is at the Loretto Chapel in Santa Fe, NM. It uses no nails and no center support
simply an amazing staircase!
